Numbers. We had a lot of lectures about the significance of numbers. And, today marks that coincidence of 3's again.

Multiply 9 by any two, three or four-digit number and the sums of those will always come back to nine. 3 is a sacred number... the trinity- and of course the rule that everything seems to happen in threes, including celebrity deaths.

9 is on the list of auspicious digits for the Chinese and is associated with long life, due to how similar its pronunciation is to the word for long-lasting.

108 is also significant. It's the number of malas (prayer beads) which is used to count the number of mantras. The beads turn like the planets around the sun. 108 also connects the sun, moon and earth, with the average distance of the sun and the moon to the earth is 108 times their diameters. There are also 108 Upanishads, 108 marma points (sacred) in the body, and 108 sun salutations, a moving meditation or Kriya.

I had a major accomplishment yesterday. With the help of Kristen, I applied for an LLC and domain name on the web. It's funny what we put off and when we actually sit down (with the encouragement of a friend) and do it, it's not as difficult a task as just simply starting it. When I applied, I had to enter a start date. That day is today, 09/09/09.
